Houston, TX is located only a few miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico close to the border with Louisiana. These days, Houston offers many amenities to keep curious visitors occupied and is as popular among tourists as its kinds of businesses.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers some excellent exhibits and to experience nature and science up until the space from the time of the dinosaurs. The museum also offers an extensive collection of ancient artifacts from North America and Egypt, as well as gems, dinosaur bones, and fossils. In addition, this museum also offers a huge movie screen, a butterfly center, and a planetarium. The Bayou Bend Gardens and Collection are a gallery associated with the Museum of Fine Arts is worth visiting and located in the suburbs of River Oaks suburbs and home to a large collection of furniture, paintings, and decorative arts.

The Contemporary Arts Museum is one of many important cultural institutions in the center if the excellent Museum District in Houston. This Museum offers visitor's international, national, and regional exhibits of art. A group of local residents established the Museum in 1948. This Museum has the objective to present the art of the time and its role in modern life through activities, lectures, and exhibitions. Each year the museum presents many different exhibits in its two galleries that feature the emerging talents of well-known contemporary artists.

One of the most popular attractions in Houston is the Houston Zoo. The zoo is located in the middle of Herman Park and spans some of 50 acres of area. This zoo features over 6,000 indigenous and exotic animals. To ensure the popularity with families, the zoo also contains a children's zoo and an education center. Highlights include watching a variety of marine in the aquarium, feeding the giraffes and, and watching the fish, otters and sea lions. Some of the other enjoyable Herman Park attractions include the Pioneer Memorial Log House Museum, a Japanese garden, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Visitors can also enjoy a stroll on the walking trails in the park and a McGovern Lake paddle boat ride.
